Advertising data & API use
This page describes how Divinity Consulting cc uses advertising platform APIs. It is provided for transparency and for the platforms’ API review processes.
Who we are and what we advertise
Divinity Consulting cc runs its own media and publishing brands: Alien Ambience, an AI-generated science-fiction ambience channel on YouTube, Facebook and Instagram, and the STEM coloring book Mission: Solar System, published through Amazon KDP. Any advertising we run promotes these brands.
What we use the APIs for
- Google Ads API (read-only reporting). To read campaign, spend, impression, view, click and location performance for our own Google Ads account, and show it next to our other business metrics in a private internal dashboard.
- Amazon Ads API (reporting). To read advertising performance for our own book advertising, for the same internal purpose.
The tool is for internal use only. It has no external users, does not manage anyone else’s accounts, and does not create, change or delete campaigns, budgets or ads. Any decision to spend money on advertising is made by the owner.
What data we handle
Aggregate performance metrics and campaign settings for our own accounts. We do not collect or store personal information about the people who see or click our ads, and we do not use advertising data to identify, profile or target individuals.
Storage, access and retention
Metrics are stored in access-controlled cloud storage in our own Amazon Web Services account. API credentials are held in an encrypted secrets store and are never published. Access is limited to the owner and the software that runs the reports. We keep reporting history for as long as it is useful for managing our own advertising and our business records.
Sharing
We do not sell, share or disclose advertising platform data to third parties, and we do not use it for any purpose other than managing and reporting on our own advertising.
Compliance
We use the APIs in line with each platform’s terms and developer policies, and with the Google API Services User Data Policy where it applies.
