Quantitative software development · Fintech

From quantitative models to live execution.

Divinity Consulting engineers the software between a model and the market: research code that becomes production systems, and trading and risk infrastructure that stays reliable when it matters.

What we build

Quantitative software, end to end

Specialist engineering for firms and individuals working in quantitative finance, trading and financial technology.

Model engineering

Quantitative research turned into clean, tested, reproducible code: pricing and risk models, signal and machine-learning pipelines, backtesting and validation frameworks.

Execution systems

Market-data capture, order and position management, broker and exchange connectivity, and paper-to-live trading infrastructure with explicit failure handling.

Production reliability

Monitoring, alerting, reconciliation and recovery for systems that must keep running, on Linux, containers and AWS, with honest reporting of what is and is not working.

High-performance & ML engineering

C, C++, Rust and CUDA where speed matters, Python and R where iteration does, and data and machine-learning engineering from feature pipelines to deployment.

How we work

Model engineering. Production reliability. Execution excellence.

Three commitments shape every engagement, from a short review to a long-running system.

Model engineering

Correct before fast. Assumptions are written down, models are validated against data, and every result can be reproduced from a clean checkout.

Production reliability

Systems are observable, recoverable and boring to operate: health checks, reconciliations, alerts that mean something, and runbooks that work at three in the morning.

Execution excellence

Orders, fills and positions are handled idempotently and verified against the source of truth, so a timeout or a restart never becomes an error on the books.

Our own platforms

We run what we build

We use the same engineering on our own platforms and brands, which keeps us honest about reliability, cost and what actually works.

Fintech

Trading & research platform

A proprietary Python and Rust platform for our own research and execution: market-data capture, backtesting, paper and live execution, and round-the-clock monitoring.

Media brand

Alien Ambience

An AI-generated science-fiction ambience channel for sleep, study and focus. A fully automated pipeline generates, quality-checks and publishes each episode to YouTube, Facebook and Instagram.

Book

Mission: Solar System

A STEM coloring book of humanity’s future among the stars, with a fact-file for every illustration. Published through Amazon KDP in multiple markets.

About

A specialist consultancy in Johannesburg

Divinity Consulting cc is a Johannesburg-based consultancy focused on quantitative software development for the financial technology sector. It is led by an experienced backend and architecture engineer with a background in enterprise applications, infrastructure and automation, and quantitative finance training through the CQF Institute.

We take on a small number of engagements at a time, so the person who scopes the work is the person who builds it. We are as comfortable with the mathematics of a model as with the operations that keep it running in production.
